2G 96 Mitsubishi Spyder gs Trunk Light

Alright, so the trunklid on my car has a red light strip attached above the rear center tail light. The plastic is damaged to it and I need a new one but do not know what it is called precisely or where to get it. The auto shops near me are confused as well. Help please.
