I am sure all of us with '95s (built in '94) that have the vented rears would benefit from this information.

Please post where you have found vented rear brakes and the part number.

Please do not post anything about swaping to vented rears or swaping them out. There are plenty of threads on that, just search.

Also do not bother with prices. Prices change. With the part number and store, we all should be able to handle calling to get up to date prices.

Thanks.

was in the same situation a few years ago...and i went though alot of bs to find a nice set...i actually went though so much bs that i do not even feel like telling your my secret...just playing....it took me a few hours of searching but the best place to get them from is turboimport.com

they are brembo blanks that are slotted and DIMPLED which means no crackin...they have worked great for me...remember that the website is turboimport.com not turboimports.com (no s at the end of import)...when my fronts get ####ed up i will be getting the fronts from them also...because dimpled is much better than drilled...

thank me when you receive them...LOL

Here you go:

I dont know of any cheaper place than this company. I purchased drilled front rotors from them about 4 years ago for $125/pair. They were cadmium/nickel plated and are still in great shape.

I believe the people who have problems with cross drilled rotors cracking either torque their tires unevenly or purchase very cheap rotors. Porsche and other top end auto makers have been doing it for years. And dont let people tell you they cant be resurfaced because they can. You need to use a triangular or spherical ladle (not the long cylinderical ones). Ive only had to resurface mine once.

On a side note, although I do have the 95 vented rear rotors, my rear brakes dont do enough to warrant the extra cooling.

i would make sure they have the rear vented rotors...and unless you are getting a drilled brake kit worth 2000...it will most likely start crackin...and torquing down rim has nothing to do with it because mine started crackin where the drilled holes are...i did not even notice it until someone pointed it out to me...you have to look very close to the hole...they are very little hair line cracks...it has to do with the heat cycles you put your brakes though...

Give them a call before ordering. They are very helpful and will answere all you questions. If you use their part locator you will find a variety of rotors; these where just the cheapest.

How you torque your lug nuts directly affects rotor warping. If they are unevenly torqued, your rotors will be more likely to warp (just like a flywheel). Warping and heat distortion causes cracking. Solid rotors can crack as well if they are abused and not properly installed. I do agree that drilled rotors are more prone to cracking but people are so parnoid. I have about 70k miles on my drilled rotors and they go through extreme heat cycles (hard driving in the MN weather with aggressive brake pads).

Anyways, lets lets keep this on topic as the original post made specific requests.

Good info so far. Thanks for keeping it on topic. Anyone else have any other vendors? I heard somewhere that Napa might have them. Can anyone confirm with a part number?

Go here and enter the information for a 1995 Eclipse GSX. That's all Napa has for brake rotors. There is a "premium" rotor in there from 11/94, but I don't know if that's the one you want.

I am currently looking into this for my own early '95. So far I have found: Dealership part # MR128661 - Advance Auto Parts part # 76569 - NAPA part # UP 86569. Price may vary by region, so I won't post my findings on that. The one from Advance is a Raybestos PG Plus rotor. NAPA doesn't specify on the website which brand it is, but the part number is very close to the one from Advance, so it may be the same part. Hope this helps someone else out, as it took me about 2 hours of searching to come up with these part #s. Also, if looking for upgrade rotors, RRE and Turboimport.com are the only 2 places I've found so far.

Local Mitsu dealer here is a good source. Other people just buy them from Napa. Doesn't seem to be much of an issue. Now, trying to find a radiator hose that fits, THAT'S a problem. Argh.
