Hello everyone, first off let me say this is one of the best and most helpful forums for our platform. With that said on to my question. This past Saturday I had my 2g talon remote tuned by taptec tuning, anyways my mod list is current and here's how she did. I have a 13.5 psi spring and it's creeping to about 19.3psi, my air fuel is steady at 11.2-11.6 no knock what so ever. Timing was set at 7 degrees he said he left it conservative. Horsepower est on ecmlink shows 345hp @6600rpm, I timed my 60 to 100 time at 5.5 secs. What do you guys think, does that seem about right where it should be? He advised me that I should install the smallest wastegate spring possible and set boost to about 15psi. He worries that the stock 2g 7bolt piston ringlands and rods might not withstand that for too long, what do the gurus think. The fp hta green hits full boost at 4500 rpms and pulls all the way to redline of course starts to drop approaching 7500. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and boost on.

I am assuming there is no 93oct around you? and it is indeed creeping quite a bit, I would go for it, and then regulate it with the boost controller.

No 93 but there is an e85 station two blocks away but as of right now my 1120s are at 65 percent duty cycle at 40 psi fuel pressure. Problem is it feels really strong and I love it, Thanks for the response.

I was running a green on a stock 6 bolt before i went built motor and FP Black. I'm not sure about 60-100 times but i can look for some old logs. I was tuned on 93 at 18psi making 35lb/min and around 300HP. That was with 11* timing up top. On e85 and 25.6psi it made 41lb/min around 380HP at 18* timing up top. I think at 30psi it was making around 49lb/min but i can't find that log.

Here's a quick screen shot of one of my datalogs...I don't know how to post them so I hope a screen shot works...any Wiseman out there have any input?

Well guys after my last post I could see I've been absent for a while...my stock 7bolt spun a bearing and locked up back in December of 2015. I did however have a built motor sitting on a engine stand ready to be swapped in. In march of this year I finally got a round to work on my baby. New motor installed but at that time I decided to send off a spare transmission to tre for a build. Now for anyone looking into tre for work let me tell you jon is a hard guy to get a hold of but none the less he's a great guy to talk to and is very helpful in guiding me in what direction I wanted to go with on my transmission build, so anyways while I was waiting for that I had made a trade on a spare ecmlink setup for a jmf race manifold, and also purchased a 1g tb which I had rebuilt by Steve at throttlebodies.com.

So after everything was bolted in it was time to find me a new tuner that could remote tune my car for me, I did find a local well 500 miles away that works for b&l tuned in kc, but before that I attempted to get her running myself and figured I could use my old tune and just make the necessary adjustments for the new intake manifold and tb, no go. After about 3hrs of me and my tuner trying to figure out my no start condition I finally figured out that I had my spark plug wires in the wrong coils. I have a jmf coil pack relocation bracket and completely had the wrong firing order...face palm. After some laughs I found a small oil leak but other than that my new motor was up and running.

Now once I broke my motor in it was time to dial in my 91 oct tune. I had found out that my knock sensor had some goo coming out the back and was fighting phatom knock but we got her tuned. Car on 91oct according to link was about 370hp @ 20psi. Let me tell you the hta green spools very nice for a daily everday car with boost coming in at about 3800, i see full boost about 4500 rpm and with the addition of the jmf manifold this thing pulls without dropping off like it did before...at 7500 I was logging about 40-42lbs min. I was very happy with the car but I did expect a lot more.

After a few months of driving around on 91 I decided to retune for e85 since I was already set up for it I really didn't have to do too much. I was debating if my 1120 fic would be enough to push me to 500hp or not, but there was only one way to find out. The transition to e85 was very easy for me and my tuner. Without touching my boost controller link estimated about 430hp and I definitely could tell the difference from 91...I believe timing is about 17 degrees and keeping my afr in the lower 12s. Well my tuner had said we were done but I asked him is it time to turn up the boost yet he kinda laughed and said if you want more we could keep going. Well I turned up the mbc and at 23psi link was estimating 450hp consistantly not bad for only 3 psi increase. Well after that I started breaking up after 6500 so I pulled my plugs and closeed the gap down from .26 to .23 no more break up and I turned up the controller a little more...and let me tell you at 25.5 psi this turbo really wakes up, it seems like an on and off switch now and it freaking rips. Now link estimated around 480hp flowing about 43-45lbmin@7500. On that same morning there was a local 1/8 mile event going on which I just had to attend...mind you I have not gotten used to the new power of e85. So off to the races with my wife. I have only had about a handful of launch practices so it was time to learn. Between me and my wife and 6 passes later I finally nailed it, the car squated down, broke the rear tires loose and she was gone.. I literally crapped my pants as this was my first time launching the car perfect. first gear was over with before it started, then came 2nd and 3rd...that poor ss camaro didn't stand a chance...there was not slips but there was a sheriff attending that was clocking people at the finish line. I glanced at my speedo and it was close to 100mph, Sherrif clocked me at 98mph so I don't know if that's good or not...I tried to replicate again but my clutch took a dump after the next few runs and would not hold anymore on the top end. Overall we killed a ss camaro, a modded gto, srt4, a sr20 240sx, an old cougar and had a great time.
