Okay, so I didnt take a lot of photos yet as I'm being lazy lately since I have nothing I'm able to do with my cars. Dont really have the money to start tearing into everything and doing what I need to do for this car.

Pretty much every piece of rubber on it is cracked so I need to reseal and replace a lot so this build will likely take a while, but that gives me the time to do my research and do it right. I plan do get work done on the head and building the motor for around 600hp eventually. I will start with just doing maintenance soon, havent touched it because it needs a couple things to be done first before I even feel comfortable driving it around.

I believe it has an exhaust leak but I wasn't able to clearly see and havent plugged the tip to check or sprayed soapy water yet. I'm getting a code for bank 1 sensor 2 02 sensor and that's it for the codes so that needs to get replaced.

Tires are in awful condition so I'm saving up for new wheels and tires as we speak. Pretty much just taking it slow and doing my research.

Thanks man. Its gonna be slow progress cause of all the quarantine and what not. Dont have an actual garage to start taking things apart and setting them aside either but I'm gonna do what I can. Plan is to fully build it!

This is something I was able to snag for free thanks to a DSMer that doesn't have his DSM anymore. He wanted it to go to a good home and I assured him it certainly is.

I haven't pulled the ECU on the talon yet to check if its an EPROM but its nice to know I have one reguardless, went to jersey city which I hadn't been to before to pick it up. Was a fun little trip!

I have a few more goodies too for the car, some I just recently got today and a couple I got a couple weeks ago. I'll post pictures of them when I get around to actually getting my hands dirty! Gonna order a timing and BS delete (if it hasn't already been deleted) along with a new OFH so I can install my oil pressure sensor and fix my two oil leaks. The biggest expense will be tires and wheels and a new windshield. Of course I need to replace pretty much anything thats rubber so all vac lines and coolant hoses need to go.

Been a while since I posted so I figured I would show off an awesome find of mine!

Shout out to @b00st3d for the quality work with the aluminum door handles. Ill admit I had to try my hand at doing these on 3 separate occasions so I had to learn and re-learn the process each time oh well! Looks amazing, I ranted and raved about these being worth it and they are.

My doors are now getting the attention they deserve. The driver main switch is unable to mount properly because the plastic it screws to got busted off so I need to figure out a solution for that. And a speaker is missing!? Okay haha thats easy to swap from the eclipse.

I also got my hatch gas struts replaced with new ones and clean non rusted bolts and it just looks and feels so smooth to use, but the hatch doesn't line flush with the driver rear quarter panel so I need to figure how ill tackle that fitment issue when I decide to paint.

Also I have decided on keeping a mostly original feel for the car. My son is coming up on two and in the process of learning his colors and what not he has become obsessed with yellow, so I'm going with a refreshed black top and stock spoiler to keep the stock vibes accompanied with a pastel/paleish but still vibrant and eye catching yellow. I think that will look nice.

I ordered avid1 av6 rims in '17x'8x35mm with nankang all season 245/40/17, looked up fitment and it should work well, I wanted something wide and not heavy or too big or expensive.

Haven't updated in a while but I will be updating more frequently, I have my talon where I live and I am able to work on her daily! Big plans in the future but for now I want to clean her up and drive her stockish.

New wheels came in and I couldn't be happier, I have a great middle ground in terms of price and quality that I'm happy with. Im not rich and can't afford the flashiest stuff but these will be great for now and I'm gonna use them for a while too.

Took her for a test drive to see where I'm at maintenance wise and now I have to address everything before I start driving around haha, oh well. I knew what I was getting into when I bought this, I'm gonna see it to the end! Ill post more updates as I go along. My next post will be photos my fiance plans to take, more or a before and after because the paint aint pretty

Got around to ordering parts. Thanks to a few members both current and previous I am able to collect a few sought after parts to help give my baby some personality. I want to keep the Mitsubishi vibes, keeping it OEM+. Right now I am prepping for doing the timing and overhauling any and all old worn out parts metallic or rubber/silicone. Have a known vacuum/boost leak so can't wait to chase that down haha. Still waiting on a few odds and ends and might add some more might now. We will see

With covid this has not been an easy step to get to, these parts aren't cheap and I try to stay with new that way I can start fresh, have a few back up used parts if I can get them in case shit hits the fan. These cars are becoming more popular again I feel, in a way, and I want to get what I can for my build before it's all gone.
