95 talon tsi awd motor swap to 97 eclipse spyder gst

I puschased a 97 Eclipse spyder gst has a spun bearing i got a 95 talon tsi awd parts car it was rolled but drive train is all good is there anything i have to change when swapping out motors someone said they have different flywheels?
Has anyone made the spyder an awd swap from awd talon?

you could do the awd swap if you wanted to invest a lot of time and money. if they are both 7 bolts than you should be able to just bolt the working 4g63 to the gst tranny.

The flywheels are not the same, use the fwd flywheel if your keeping it fwd.

Like said the flywheels are different between them. Just use the flywheel you have in your car now. Get it resurfaced if you have the extra money. You will also have to swap the cam angle sensor onto your 95 motor from the 97.

I ran into this when I put my 97 engine in a 95. 95's have a different CAS cam angle sensor) I ended up rewiring CAS and using the 97 ECU. Since you have both cars it should be pretty easy. Use the search on this site and the VFAQ site. They saved me a ton of issues during my engine swap.

what i did is swap the engine wire harness, went with dsmlink and a 6 bolt swap. the only thing i ran into was the ground wire at the fuel pump. i still have to check where it's broken so i just jumped the ground to yhe frame. other than that every thing else went just fine. just do your home work. get the swap done and running before you junk the tsi.
