Hey my name is Charles I have a 95 RS when I drive it for about 15 minutes it shuts off and when I try and crank it, it just keeps turning over. Just in the past two weeks I have replaced the ignition coil, fuel filter, and fuel pump with neither of them helping. A few months ago while driving the transmission would go into safe mode and I could drive it or pull over and let it cool down I guess and start it back up with no problem. I have searched other sites and changed the parts it said it could be i.e. Fuel pump, fuel filter and ignition coil.
Thanks for the help. I'm completely lost on what to do next.

so are you overheating then? like a thermostat stuck closed or air in the cooling system? the ecu will shut the engine off if it gets too hot. once it cools off it'll start back up

It's not over heating gauge is reading normal I changed the CTS like 2 months ago. When it finally doesn't start back up it sounds like complete crap really sluggish when I hit the gas like the engine is bogging down. Takes forever to pick up speed. But when the motors cold it runs great. I'm about to buy a crank sensor and try it.

blown head gasket. compression leaks through the gasket into the oil or cooling channel. best way to check this is taking the coolant fill cap off. if you see bubbles coming out its got air in the system. 420a is known for cooling issues but not all have the same issue. some never get it

I checked it has bubbles in it. So I have a blown head gasket?

only way to tell is with a leak down test. itd go in the spark plug hole and you'd need an air compressor or something to push air in. if it's not holding air itd be coming out of the coolant fill area, valve is open out its going out through the piston rings. don't be scared off by this. its just a simple test that'd tell you whats going on

It's not coming from the head I recently changed the CTS and thermostat and didn't properly get the air out of the lines. The air is out now but it's still shutting down.

I haven't bought the crank or cam sensor yet. I was going to see if I can't get one at pull a part really don't want to pay 92$ each at autozone and it not be the problem. Seeing as these other parts I bought didn't fix it either.
