To help people understand this, here is a basic history of the car.

I built the internals (rods, pistons, bearings, studs, etc), installed a 3 layer metal head gasket, Titanium springs/retainers, Large Front Mount Intercooler, .60 trim custom hybrid turbo rated at 545hp of flow, 650cc injectors, MAF Translator, 3" GM MAF, Full Exhaust, and a few other supporting mods. I have been breaking the car in for the past 200 miles not really getting on it and such. I have been changing the oil every 50-100 miles, and check all the vitals regularly. Well, yesterday I was driving the car around, everything was going great, idling smooth, wasn't stumbling, was running the best it has yet. I went home, let it idle for a few minutes to cool down, and shut it off. I went out there today, tried to start it, and nothing. At first I was getting some back firing, and stumbling, but eventually it would just quit and die. I pulled the plugs, because they would be obviously fuel fouled, dried them off and put them back in. It was then doing the SAME thing. I pulled the plugs again and dried them off. Now it just turns and dumps fuel. I pulled the plug wires out, put a bolt in one of them and grounded it, and I have NO spark out of ANY of the wires. So my question is, what could have done this? It went from 100% to 0% in the course of a night. I am thinking the PTU or coil pack, but I am not too familiar with the DSM's. So if anyone can help me, please do. ANY input is highly appreciated, even if you think it is minor and not worth posting, please post it, as I may have overlooked it.

Thanks again for all your help.

some possibilities=blown fuse, bad ecu, bad crank/cam angle sensor...not likely to be the coil packs, could be the power transistor...:dsm:

Check the fuses. and ur coil pack first. I had the same problem except I was driving and it shut off on me and wouldn’t start. I did a quick run through of everything, fuses, coil wires, plugs, fuel. But ur obviously getting fuel and no spark just like me. If u have an OHM meter the coil should read 13… check it by doing cyl 4-3 and 1-2. I wasn’t even getting power to my coil at the harness. Later that day I found that it was my ECU fortunately I had one lying around…I had I thread up about it as well. And since then ive seen that this is a common problem amongst DSM’s multiple people have IM’ed me with similar problems, and ive a laser that the ECU took a shit a yr ago as well. Best of luck.
