Got the new head/headgasket installed yesterday. Turns out a cut end of a zip tie made its way into one of the intake valves on #1 keeping it stuck open.

Now I’m dealing with another problem. Started up just fine but I have constant little bubbles coming out of the thermostat housing and my upper rad hose is hot while the lower is cold. Does this sound like my head gasket is still leaking?

Got another update, Everything sorted out with the cooling system, motor is healthy. I have found the cause of all my problems I have had for months. My timing belt auto tensioner has failed and does not keep adequate tension on the timing belt. I ordered all new timing components and they will be installed as soon as they get here. Keep in mind that all of this stuff had been replaced back in april with approximately 3500 miles on them until now.

My advice to anyone is stick to OEM timing components. I purchased the Contitech timing belt set because I read that they were the supplier to Mitsu for timing belts. The kit included everything for a complete timing job, but the parts turned out to be not as good of quality that I had thought. So my advice is to stick with OEM stuff even though it is a little more expensive
