95 gst builds boost when reving and has zero power

As the title says im trying to help a kid with his car and can't not figure this one out.
Symptoms
When reving car builds 10-11 PSI (almost like anti lag if you use dsm link)
Car has no power when trying to move it
when car is being moved its constantly spooling
Wont rev past 5k
when car is shut off you can hear air/pressure being released.
manifold glows
blows black smoke under boost, obviously running rich

Things checked
Timing is perfect
checked inter cooler pipes very small leaks if any
Compression is perfect
tried unplugging various sensors


Any help would be appriciated

Mods to the car: 14b and exhaust and K&N everything else is stock,

I had a simular problem and found out it was a broken balance shaft belt.

What's your base timing set at? sounds like its retarded pretty far

Well with 95,96 the computer sets the timing off the crank sensor and cam sensor... we may have figured it out.. being the wrong ring installed for the crank sensor to read off of..

Do you have a logger? What does the TPS percentage say? Mines at 100% and I am having similar problems. It very well could be wiring problems I am experiencing, which could be your culprit as well. Or it could be a BOOST LEAK. Do you have a video?

check base timing. i had similar prob and i rechecked the base timing and turned out to be retarded.

The Battery in this car is also extremely weak, after about two attempts to start, the battery is dies. We have been using a batt. charge when we start it. Could a bad battery be any affect on this? He told us that he used a crank plate from a 94 on this as well.
