I stumbled across some Brembo drilled/slotted rotors from SportBrakes on ebay and was wondering if anyone on here had them on their vehicle. Anyone have any experienced with SportBrakes rotors? I talked to them and they want $239 +shipping for 2 front/rear brembo drilled/slotted. I bought 2 front Brembo Highperformance slotted rotors from Tirerack for $153 +shipping but the 2 rear one are like $269. I'm thinking of getting the set from SportBrakes and sell my on ebay. What do you guys think? Please help me out as I'm about to buy from them.

Thanks,

I have been looking into purchasing new rotors from SportBrakes as well. Anyone have any feedback on the company and the rotors? thanks...

I have the factory sized drilled brembo rotors. Paired with Axxis metalmaster pads, they stop very well.

I bought mine from www.buybrakes.com They shipped quickly, packaged well, and were an overall good place to get brakes from. Check them out.

Did you ever get the rotors from sportbrakes.com. I bought some a few weeks ago and I like the look and the way they stop, but it seems that I am getting some noise from them. Sounds similar to a warped rotor only shorter and more defined. Kinda like the slots hitting the pads as each one passes.

Any feedback?

That noise youre talking about is normal its the air from the crossdrill. I had the same question , I bought mine from turboimport.com. For $239 you can buy the set front and rear. or 119 for either set. here you go, check them out.

The original thread asked if these rotors are any good. I am curious about the same thing, and how they stack up to other rotors? E.g. What rotors are better (w/o requiring a new brake kit)?

Do the Brembos or other comparable rotors come in any color other than silver? I saw the AEM rotors, but could not figure out if they would work with the stock big brake kit on the 98 GSX.

Thx.

I wanted to get these prices from race concepts but they want a few diff people to get in on it. they used brembo blanks and were purchased by many 3si guys so I would recomend you to check them out at www.raceconcepts.com because the quality is fantastic and for the price bracket cant be beat. check out reviews on them from the net on tuners and from 3si.org. pm to see if its possible for those prices.

just to let you guy know those rotors on ebay arent legit. they are stock replacement rotors that people buy and drill them and put slots in them. they usually crack with a couple months.

Is the only difference, who is doing the drilling and sloting or are the real rotors made out of a different material. Sportbrakes claims they use a cnc machine and that thier rotors are just as good as any other drilled and or slotted rotor.

I have had mine for about a month and so far no complaints and no cracks.
But we will see with time what happens.

yea, exactly some of the probs you can come up with so make sure that they are reputable and known. (being on ebay and having a few sales isnt known)

The ones i posted the pics of are Brembo Blanks that are then customized to what you want, (drilled, dimpled, slotted, combo) and then Zinc plated for protection.

You can tell some of the ones that are just drilled in after time because they will develop rust on the inside of the drilled because the surface will just dissapear from the pads wearing it off. If you need a set of them email me at [email protected] because i need to get enough people together.

Are these true brembro's? Also how are the brake pads they provide with the set of 4 rotors...do they give off a lot of brake dust?

Thanks, Erik

I've used their brembo drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads on 3 different cars now. I've had no problems, and Have nothing but good things to say for the company and it's products. They were a pleasure to deal with. :D

Hey whats up i am new to all this but i have been looking into braks for my 95 GSX. A lot of ppl have been sayin brembo rotors with drilled only and Axxis Metal Masters Brake Pads i want to know what evryone thinks about this for my car and if anyone knows were i can order the pads and rotors from with out going to a$$ rape.com. A lot of ppl on her like those things not me.

So far i have see the pads for $69 for front and back at Turboimport.com.

I went for a deal that was posted on here a while ago with rotors, pads, and SS lines all around.

Put them on ~ two weeks ago but the weather's been shitty lately so I haven't had a chance to get on them yet. Feels good, though.

So you've been driving around on new pads and rotors without having bed them, eh? On the bright side, bedding them will be easier after you put the rotors on the correct sides of the car. (PowerSlots are supposed to pump outwards, not inwards.)
