I searched and searched and frankly i'm tired...very tired. I found some similar cases but not any dealing with my yr/model and 6/7bolt situation. I'm replacing my 93 N/A motor(7bolt) with a 91 TSi (6bolt) motor. I'm doing the whole turbo conversion. Can i use my 93 FWD tranny? The engine is a 6 bolt but the tranny went on my 7 bolt motor. If not. Can i bolt on the AWD tranny and halfshafts and just dich the Transfer case. Or will i have to find a FWD tranny for a 6bolt? I'm know a lot of this tranny/6/7bolt stuff has been beaten to death but i'd rather ask to be on the safe side and save myself the trouble of finding out the hard way.
Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

So it should bolt on with no problem. Will i still be able to use my 6bolt turbo flywheel and clutch or will i have to find a 6bolt N/T flywheel? I heard that since the flywheel and clutch are bigger on the T that it won't clear the Bell housing. I hope i can use the T Flywheel and everything because i just had it resurfaced for 45$ (previous owner slipped the Shite out of the clutch). Thanks for the reply man and good luck on your conversion.
