BG,
Europe
Hi guys, my name is Zhivko and i'm from Bulgaria(Eastern Europe). I'm new to this forum and in the DSM world,so I hope you can help me with everything.
-(sorry first for my bad and poor english)
An year ago,i bought 1G Eclipse GSX '93 from USA. The car was in very bad condition, outside and the engine was overheated. But this car was my dream, because in Europe it is impossible to find a car like this,so there isn't any power that can stop me to buy it. The car was almost stock with only one modification : Evo9 rods, pistons and crankshaft. But because it was overheated, i had to open the engine and to change the broken pistons(2).
...and then the real tuning has began
Modifications: new Evo9 pistons 0.20 oversize,ARP rod bolts,ARP head studs, Cometic head gasket,3G lifters, balance shaft eliminator kit,3" GM + maf translator 2.02, ACT 2100 + 6 puck disk, FMIC with 2.5" pipes,O2 housing with open dump + 3" exhaust with Megan rear muffler,Innovate wideband,Innovate boost gauge, Walbro 255 LPH, Aeromotive FPG, crushed BOV, K&N air filter, REMOVED oil squirters, KYB Excel G shocks + TEIN S.Tech Springs,Evo9 Enkei rims... still stock 14b turbo, injectors, intake manifold and exhaust manifold. The car makes high 12's @ 108mph.
After the balance shaft modification and the removing of the squirters, the oil pressure gauge indicates high pressure. At cold start and driving with high RPMs the pointer is where is the letter "L"(OIL). I know that this is normal after these modifications. But few days ago,I saw that when I drive with RPMs above 4000,the pointer drops below the letter "O". If drive it below 4000,the pointer is always at "L" Then I stopped the car at idle and revved the engine at 6000 RPMs and the pointer is at "L" in few seconds. But when I drive the car the situation is again the same, below 4000 RPMs the pressure is high and above 4000 is very low. I changed the oil sender, but nothing. Oil has been changed 500miles ago. I use only Fuchs Silkolene 10w60 racing full synthetic.
Guys, can you help me how to resolve this problem and what do you think is broken in my car?
p.s.Sorry again for my bad english, but I hope that you can understand the problem with my car and what I tried to explain.
