Today was the first time i was able to drive my talon because i have been searching for wheels. (it had none) So any way i noticed that my oil pressure gauge read zero most of the time unless i got on it then it would go up a little bit after i saw that i babied it and drove slow until i got home i was only driving it for maybe ten minutes probably less its an autometer 0-100 electric oil pressure gauge when i removed the stock oil pressure sending unit it had a wire attached to it i think it goes to the stock oil gauge so when i installed the autometer pressure sender i attached the old wire and the new wire that goes to the autometer gauge and im wondering if maybe this is the problem and i need to detach that old wire and render the stock gauge useless ??

I am going to change the oil tomorrow i live in new mexico and its pretty hot here what would be the best oil to use

It most likely is the problem. The Autometer was made for one sender wire. Run the red from the Autometer sender only up to your gauge and see what happens to your readings. As far as what oil to run I recommend a 15W-50 synthetic or 20W-50 conventional for hot climates or summer driving (the 15-50 can also be used year round in cooler climates as well).
