Well, after 16 years the Stock unit stopped turning on last night
. guess it's not an "Infinity" after all
.
Picked this up for $25 this morning, missing a button, gonna wire it in and see what we get for a result....if it works PIMP.....read on to see!

Heres a lil How-to for all of you wanting to do this....
---First, you need to get the wiring diagram for the 3000GT unit. it's the left one, with the 2-part connector, they are white. the 2-wire black square one is the steering wheel controls which I am not trying to use....yet...

---then u need the one from the Infinity stereo in our cars:

this one helps:

the RR and LR are the same wire colors on both harnesses. the RF & LF are both Wh/Blu, Blk/Blu, so just use the pins locations like the Rear did for the front......outside is Right (6&14), inside (5&13) is left.....
I just cut and spliced into the stock wiring...if you ever need an aftermarket stereo, just get a harness connector for a 1993 3000GT

After you splice in you will need to mount the radio into the STOCK side mounts. the holes actually lined up perfectly on the far bottom screw, so you still get 2 OEM mount locations!

plug back in the battery and enjoy your AUX-equipped Mitsi 3000GT stereo! and it sounds great!

best $25 I have spend in awhile!!! iPod works great
