Last week, I purchased my 92 Eagle Talon TSi AWD Turbo with A/T (completely stock). The night I test drove the car, it drove very fast and smoothly. The very next day I could not understand what was going on. All of a sudden, the car will not accelerate. The spark plug wires were recently replaced so I changed the spark plugs immediately and had little to no results. With the pedal to the floor, it goes practically nowhere. It also feels like the transmission hangs around 3000rpm and takes a second to get past it. I've looked at many forums and done some research online and I am having trouble finding direction to where the problem might be. If anyone can provide any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

Are you sure all of your plug wires are in the right spots? I had mine out tonight and put them in wrong and had to go back in a swap them around.

I found a link to make your own boost leak tester. I am going to put it together and try it out tomorrow. A friend of mine has a 91 GSX and heard it today and said he could hear the boost leak. I'm also having problems with the auto tranny. It is not shifting gears at all and it feels like it is stuck in second. When I get to about 2500 RPM's, I can feel it jerk and it hesitates to go past 3000RPM's. I don't know if this has anything to do with the power loss, but I would imagine that it couldn't help it at all.

If it is a boost leak it would be pretty obvious. Check for a disconnected intercooler hose or even check if the biss screw is still in the throttle body. Good luck !

I can't help with the Turbo end of things, but are you throwing any CEL's? Mine was missing on two cylinders and ended up being the coil pack going out. If I fiddled with the car for awhile, it warmed up and ran fine. The next morning it was acting up again. Good luck with the trouble.
