92 talon tsi, what octane gas

i am looking to buy a 92 talon tsi and it says premium fuel on the gas gauge, and somebody told me than premium back then was only 87-89 octane. is that true or do i need 92-93 octane?

WTF back then you mean 12 years ago... yea back in 1992 you could get a milk for 10 cents and gas called 35 cents a gallon oh yea slap your friend for me. Use 91-93 for best performance

Use the highest octane you can find. MINIMUM i would say is 91 or you have the chance of getting knock

This is good to know because in the great state of Minnesota they only have 91 octane compared the great state of Wisconsin having 93.

Just use whatever your best octane is. You will be better off with better brand gas. I always use Shell or Amoco, but that's just me.
