Ok, lets start out with the known history of my Salvaged1Gdsm. I bought the car back in Jan. of 2012, did a bit of maintenance on it to get it to a very reliable state of being then once the car's performance/reliability stayed consistent, i researched and planned out my build. I started acquiring parts locally around Mar./May of 2012, acquired a low mileage '92 GS-T longblock that a local salvage yard found for me out of Kentucky in May of 2013 and then all my gathered parts collected dust all the way to present.

Parts acquired so far-

'92 GS-T longblock
Slow Boy Racing Manual Boost Controller
custom equal-length exhaust manifold
a genuine MHI Lancer Evo 3 TD05H-16G turbocharger
TiAL 41mm External Wastegate (maybe it was a 44mm, i don't remember, i underlined it because i traded tsi20gawd for the part below)
91+ EPROM ECU
'92 GS-T 5-speed transmission
Punishment Racing 2.5" o2 housing with VTA wastegate dump
Punishment Racing 3" Downpipe (in transit)

Parts still needed for swap-

OEM 1G Blow Off Valve
ACT/Competition Clutch Stage 2 Clutch Kit
Front Mount Intercooler Kit (it gets hot in texas, i feel a side mount won't be sufficent enough for my region and driving habbits)
Injector Resistor Pack
Evo 8 fuel pump or equivalent/better
GS-T MAF or a 3" GM MAF with a MAF Translator
Boost Gauge
Wideband A/F Ratio Gauge
Oil Pressure Gauge
A-Pillar triple pod to mount the above gauges
HKS Turbo Timer Type-0
Oil feed and return lines for turbo
coolant feed and return lines for turbo
knock sensor
ARP SS Exhaust Manifold Studs
ARP SS Turbo to Manifold Bolts

Parts i'd like to have

DSMlink V3 and ECU Socket Service by ECMtuning
650cc injectors
Adjustable FPR
Punishment Racing 2.5" to 3" o2 Housing (it maintain a full 2.5" ID 'til right after its downward bend then expands out to a full 3")
Punishment Racing 3" Cat-back Exhaust
3" GM MAF with DSMlink V3 PnP harness adaptor
TMZ Performance Stage 2/3 Transmission rebuild with a Quaife ATB Helical LSD
TiAL Q 50mm BOV

Parts I might run inside the motor once it *needs* a rebuild

Eagle Forged stock stroke 6-bolt crankshaft
Cometic 1.3mm Head Gasket
Manley Performance 8.5:1 CR "Stroker" piston that can used with 156mm rods on the stock 88mm crank
Manley Performance Turbo Tuff I-Beam Con-Rods 156mm with 22mm wrist pin hole for 6-bolt cranks
GSC Power Division 268*/268* Cams
GSC Power Division Zero-Tick Lifters
GSC Power Division Beehive Valve Spring kit with titanium retainers
Supertech 0.5mm oversize valves
Fidanza Adjustable Cam Gears
ARP Head Stud kit
ARP Main Studs
Fluidampr Harmonic Damper
ACL Race Tri-Metal Rod & Main Bearing set

Possible Turbo Upgrade choices

Garrett GT35R
Bullseye S366
BorgWarner S200SX 59mm

I'll start looking for a place to store the car (and tools to pull the motor and tranny) as soon as i get my E36 M3 back from the body shop, meanwhile i'm gonna be searching online for GS-T specific engine harness pigtails, injector resistor pack and a good knock sensor. Once i have a place to accommodate a car, tools, and adequate work space, i'll pull my motor/tranny/harness to clean up the bay and prep it for the new motor/tranny/harness to be dropped in. I'll be making a completely new wiring harness from scratch using my factory harness/ecu as a guide and i'll add the 7th MAF wire/injector resistor pack/knock sensor wiring in as i go along.

EDIT: o2 housing finally came in today and the downpipe is due to arrive on monday.

in wichita falls, i'd be lucky to even see another 1g eclipse to even be running yet alone factory turbo'd and gsx's are even more rare...there's mostly gto's, vette's, 5.0's, 350z's, honda's, 1 or 2 evo's, and a few impreza's, so where i'm at my build is one of a kind.

I remember doing this conversion back in 05' Do yourself a favor and find a good turbo engine harness. To do the swap correctly to make it run you're going to have to rewire the injector resistor pack in, an extra wire to the Maf, and wire for the knock sensor. I hate hacking up harnesses. If I kept my 93 Eclipse GS that would have been the next thing I would have done to it.

got home from work today and my grandma has a piece of USPS Priority Mail with my name on it waiting for me on the living room table, so i open it up before i get comfortable and to my amazement its a check issued to my name and address. i have not a single clue as to why i would be getting that kind of money, from any of the three legal business names printed on the check.

so i checked out each business name on google and all three names have legit (at least in appearance and navigation) websites and address', so i emailed the two that i could find a contact email for off their websites. i haven't heard back from them yet, since it is after hours, but as soon as the two email me back i'll take a screenshot of the email and take my laptop and the check with me to my local bbb office to have the gathered info examined to confirm whether or not this is a real check.

for the sake of my build, i'm really hoping this is a real check, the $2500 would pretty much cover most of the cost left of my build and would greatly speed up the build overall. i'll update ya'll once i get to the bottom of this check ordeal.

EDIT: turns out the check was a potential trap according to the BBB, so its shredded now. in other news, waiting on my income tax money and hoping to have *something* left over after i get my tranny and body trim for the M3...i'll be glad when i get the M back from the body shop, i need to get this old motor/tranny out so i can pull the harness and duplicate it then add in the extra's on the newly built harness, this is gonna be a fairly slow build until i get the M3 body repair bill paid off (luckily for me, my insurance bill dropped from $95.58/mo for both cars down to $62.25/mo for both cars, State Farm FTMFW!)

no problem, once its finished i'll be taking it near there for every other month for NTBC meets (one meet one month will be the M3, the next meet the next month will be the 1G, alternate 'em so the 1G has some good chances to stretch its legs against some german muscle :thumb: ).

i might not paint the car for a while though, keep it lookin' like a bucket, leave it sleeper status for a bit until the locals here in my city catch on.

UPDATE: finally got the m3 situation under control, now to stack up the cash for the rest of the parts. plan to order an PR o2 housing and dp with gaskets on the 29th, have enough cash for the o2 housing as of today but not gonna order 'til i have enough to order both exhaust pieces with gaskets all at once so i'm not having to play the waiting game with ups as often...
