I just did a turbo swap in my 92GS. I Bought a JDM engine out of a 1990 eclipse... The engine fit fine and everything as expected, but the harness is a little different. At the moment there are only a few problems, the connector that goes to t MAF on the old NA engine has 1 less wire than the MAF connector that fits the 1990 engine. A friend of mine told me to plug all the vacuum lines and bypass the smog pump. Are there any common problems when performing this swap? I still have to throw in the new fuel pump, ECU, and a couple other pieces. When I turn the key on, the stereo works, the door chimes work, seatbelt warning lights come on, everything comes on as usual, but when i turn the key to start the engine, all the lights dim, i hear a click, and nothing happens. The starter is connected and the battery is charged... I'm just throwing this out there to see if there is anyone else that has done the same swap.
