haha, must I again mention it's not a STOCK mirage, it has mods....not a lot, but I don't do 0-60 in 9 seconds...that's crazy slow...my 1.5 did 9.5 and I notice a big difference in this car....


best was 7.9, worst was 8.4.....Mirages are underpowered but when your car weighs 2200 LBS 120 hp isn't extremly under powered...


I'm not trying to argue the spec on the Spec-V, I'm just saying...that's crazy that they do 0-60 that slow because I know my friends does like 7 something...

0-60 is 8.6 seconds is not fast or quick.

120 hp is a 2200lb car is still slower than shit .You run high 16s to 17s.

Oh for god's sake, I'm not saying it's fast......I'm just saying that it is 8.6 seconds stock and not 9.4. And I'm not stock so therefore I'm in the low 8 second 0-60 range....I still do close to a stock 1/4 mile though....so basically my few mods that I have only gave me more midrange torque.....

I don't want to argue about it...

We'll the 1G manual tranny guys do have an advantage on you because they have a larger turbo stock. You have a TD04, and They have the TD05H-14B. Your turbo is more comparable to the T25 than the 14b. Swap the 14B in or upgrade to the 16g, and 450s from a stock DSM, and you'll see a real difference. I know two guys with AWD Auto's with bigger turbos and they are hella fast. IMO I do not beleve the tranny is the prob. Manual tranny are faster on the street, but it is proven that the automatic if built right is dominating in the 1/4 mile. Look at the professional's like John Forest and others.

You are correct. I have a 1990 AWD TSI 5 Speed with a 16G turbo. The car is EXTREMELY fast and much better than the stock turbo. I don't know what specs I got (I'll get a dyno someday), but I've dusted a new Nissan 350Z. Either the driver was inexperienced or the car doesn't have enough power to beat this vehicle in a race. The previous owner was a mechanic for Mitsu.....so I'm not sure if he's done other mods on this car.

1. He couldn't hang with it on a roll due to his weight and not AWD/FWD drivetrain loss B.S. It's his weight.
2. Herovueboi: It was very irresponsible of you to race with 2 people in your car especially after having being in an accident before (presumably racing again) with your cousins. Shame on you for that!! :thumbdown x1,000.
3. Swap in a 14B or a 16G in that automatic and see what happens.

sorry to say but the fastest dsm in the world right now is **** shepards, 8 second talon TSi AWD, and it is stick, so if u are a good driver, automaitc is no difference in the 1/4 mile

correction Shep has the fastest AWD DSM but its not the fastest DSM. Buschur Racing owns the fastest DSM in the world
