My friend has a logger for sale but says its wont plug into my 90?I have read that they are good for 90-94.Do they all have the same kind of plug?

So the plug that a scan tool or the data logger is the same for all years?90-94...

The the DLC plug is the same 90-94.

What's different is that the voltages at that plug are different between 90 and the later cars. Many of the datalogger cables use a very simple circuit to do "Auto On", where the interface grounds the ECU mode pin when the logger first tries to communicate with the ECU and it fails to trigger on some 90 cars.

If your having a problem on a 90 you can try grounding DLC pin 10 manually and if it starts working you know that you have a problem with the auto-on circuit in your cable.

No im not having any problems yet,I was just told that my 90 has a different port or connector than 91-94 for the logger to plug into.Im going to go get it as soon as I can.I just didnt want to buy it if it wouldnt fit.
