Hi. my gsx just sustained quarter panel damage on both sides of the car. alignment is fine and it still drives normal. Can I swap the 91 flip up headlight front clip onto a 92 and up 1st gen? I really dont like the non flip up front clipse on the 92-94 but i am currently thinking about finding a good straight body to swap my parts on seeing how I am not ready to spend 30 hours a side to replace my quarters.

I think I just have to remove a part for the composites and it all will bolt up.? maybe. I am not sure and I need to know before I start to find a remedy for my problem. problem being my car looks like crap right now because people dont know how to drive.

Well i know you are going to have to switch the Hood, both fenders, The front bumper, and the headlight wiring harness for sure. But as far as how the pop ups will bolt in, Im unsure. Not sure if the holes are there like the 90-91s have or not

Got ya. maybe I can go to the junkyard this weekend and check out some cars. I really like the pop up and coener markers on the early 1st gens way better.

Next queation... Does anyone have pics of their cars with the front clip and headlights removed from a pop and non pop up so we can compare front core supports and what not?

I have a 92 and a 90 sitting in the driveway with motors out of both. I will look at the 2 and see if it looks like its a bolt on or if it will take fabrication. As mentioned you will also need the wiring from the 1ga.

You will need the 90-91 crash bar, so the bumper will bolt up and be secure. (unless you have a huge fmic.)

hmmmm. sounds promising, still throwing around the idea of keeping this car alive and not crushed cuase I will strip it to nothing before i send it to a yard. I think I am going to be a loon and replace both quarters on the car. easier than converting a fwd to awd and a front clip swap.
