My 92 GSX (6 bolt/4 bolt) just bent a rod. The part that the oil filter connects to became loose somehow and all the oil evacuated near the oil sender :barf: (I think that’s what it’s called...feeds oil to the turbo) Last time it happened I was greeted by a bunch of smoke and there was no damage to the enginge and I thought the problem was fixed. This time there was no smoke just a loud noise and my car shut down. I had it towed and put it on a lift and tightened that bolt thing down and added oil. Started it up and heard really loud knocking so I'm pretty sure the rod is bent. Luckily I just bought a TSi AWD that runs pretty well but has some body damage. I am planning on putting the TSi engine/tranny in the GSX. This should work fairly well right? I'm hearing things about spline count and sensors and ECU's (oh my!)...any info about those? I'm having trouble sorting it all out through searches but have found some good information.

There are two pins that are switched are shown on vfaq it will tell you how to switch them.
The 92 transfer case is different I know because a few months ago I put a 1990 transmission on a 92 awd.
