Ok so I looked around and no luck. I swapped in a 91+ ECU into my 90 Talon. I switched pin out 6 and 14. I haven't swapped out the PTU yet. It started and idles but if i rev it it dies.:banghead: Would the PTU not being swapped yet affect it running or just the tach?

Any ideas would be awesome. Also would leaking injector o-rings affect any thing beside being a danger of catching on fire? I just got the new ones today haven't put them on yet.

Not sure on the reving issue but leaking injector o rings can cause a miss or sluggishness.

Ok I put the injector o-rings in and the idle smoothed out now that its getting steady pressure. But if I give it any gas it dies.

Also whats an IAC motor and what does it do?

I still haven't got the power transistor wired in they sent me one without the plug. I'm waiting on the plug to get here. Would the power transistor not being switched cause the problems I'm having?

well take in mind that your FPR has to build and hold a certain PSI when you rev to make the correct fuel to air ratio. so if you have leaky injectors then its just like not having a FPR because instead of it holding pressure it drops because of the leak, or having a AFPR PSI set too low, this makes fuel pass thru the system and its good enough to idle but stalls when revvd. or a dramatic loss of power when driven.

Swapping in a '91+ ECU in a '90 is a little more involved then you think. You already swapped the pins, but you also need to swap out/rewire in the '91 coilpacks and power transistor. The '91+ coil packs have a 3-wire plug with a built in resistor compared to the '90s 4-pin harness with external resistor. The power transistor also need to be swapped because not only does it drive the tach but also drives the coilpacks. Take care of this and see if the problem persists.

+1 DSMboostin15 I did this on my 90 talon. There is a really good detailed thread on here about doing this.
