Hi, I have searched for the answer to my question , But to no avail.

I am aware of the pin switching involved with running a 90 ecm in a 93(6 and 14), But are there any drawbacks to running a 90 ecm? Is the 93 better than the 90 in any way? I dont want to down grade. Thanks in advance.

Let me know how you make out with that.
Cause i had a similar deal but backwards i had a 92 ecu eprom put it in my 90 and had nothing but issues.
just for the record there are not the same.I could get pics if you like. Some of the issues are... messed up tach, faulty MAF signals ,inconsistent idle from time to time and its just not a fun time.If you do do this let me know so I can worn the next guy.

The problem with putting a 91-94 ecm in a 90 is the ignition, The power transistor and tach signal are different. You have to switch pins, And you need the power transistor, Gauge cluster, Coils etc, From a 91-94. Look it up.

To put a 90 in a 91-94 all you need to do is switch pins 6 and 14 at the ecm.
