General 90 eagle Talon with 98 ecu

Okay so my friend bought a 90 eagle Talon tsi today with out a ecu. He has a black box ecu but obviously you can just plug it in and run right. So is there anyway to do it with out getting a patch harness, and just switch the pins on the male side.

So I found this, but what if I'm not running SD? And under 1g is that the pin that's suppose to go the the one next to it? I just want to get a clear answer thanks!

The terminal connectors themselves are different so you can't just move pins around or swap into the 2G connector. Therefore you need a patch harness that either plugs into the 1G connectors or is spliced into the harness.

Yeah like I was gonna get some plugs from a 98-99 2g then splice and solder them together.

Or put the pins into the new 98-99 plugs.

So all I need really is a pin out of a 98-99 plugs and pin out of a 90 plugs. And put them in the right place right?

If you cut off the 1G connectors remember that swapping back to a 1G ECU for troubleshooting is going to be a problem.

Why not make a harness from a busted 1g ecu and the harness from a 2g?
