I have asked people which is better 90-94 or 95-98 Talon or eclipse. I just bought a stock 98 Talon AWD but I am thinking of buying a 92 Talon AWD or an eclipse. I have also thought of buying a dodge stealth AWD because of the V6 or a 3000gt Vr4. Whatever I buy It has to be fast and preferably AWD.

If your like me and you like the 97+ body style, then keep your car and swap a 6-bolt motor into it. I wouldn't recommend getting a 1st gen really because of it's age, many more parts are prone to fail but if your a great mechanic, then go ahead. I love both my 1st gen and my 2nd gens.

Both have their strengths and weakness. 1Gs have a better motor, are cheaper, and have a better stock turbo. But the trade-offs are fewer aftermarket parts in general, older engines/chassis, and 90-92.5 have smaller brakes. If you have the cash, put a 6-bolt motor into a 2g.
