90-91 Talon TSI Help

Im looking at 2 Talon TSI AWD 5spds first is an 90 and the second is a 91. What do I need to look for when I check these out? Both have some mods done and redone 6 bolt engines. Im not sure of problem areas to check out so any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

Just look for hack job half assed mods, toggle switches to nowhere(my car wouldn't run for the loggest time because previous owner rigged up a kill switch to the ignition coil and fuel pump and a wire was grounding where the insulation wore through), ductape anywhere, check the oil, ask when the timing belt was replaced last, make sure it doesnt have a knock off chinese turbo on it. Make sure the car shifts smooth, not all knotchy and grindy. Check the tires for even wear. Basically just see if the car was taken care of properly and wasn't abused.
