OK, guys i've my talon for about 3-4 days and i aready have a problem 2.0L tsi fwd 5 speed, The car wont start, but if it's push started it runs and drive's normal. checked out the starter, noticed the bolts that hold on the motor to the starter housing were loose, tighted them up, took to autozone, starter passe'd the test. reinstalled and still nothing. possibly the NSS? if i unplug the switch would it be like, bypassing the switch? i still suspect the starter being bad, but i would like to find a way to test the NSS without removing it:sneaky: is there a way to bypass this to see if mabey its the switch??

anyone else have suggestions on what it would be.

when i turn the key on, it clicks, i can hear the necessary replays clicking on/off so i'm guessing it's not those...

please any help if appricated!!!!!

Yes what i was trying to mean was the clutch switch? i unplugged it and tryed and still got the same thing:mad:

when key's in in start position you can hear the starter relays click on/off, i looked for a fuse but could'nt find anything, either way if the fuse was bad would the replay still click?

i'm stumped on what this would be.

ill check it out tommorow, but i can hear the replay clicking on/off

is there anything else that i'm over looking that could be causeing a no start?

this was in another paragraph - When you turn the key, do you hear the starter click? If not, time to check it.( which you did ) Check the starter relay first.

i say check all grounds to the starter and make sure they are nice and tight, if thats all good and still same result, check the starter relay/ you did pull the white plug connector closest to the firewall for the clutch switch, ive see some pull the cruise plug, just checking.

check your starter yourself its not hard. hook up the power wire. and ground it to something using the bolts that attatches it to the bellhousing ran it to the battery. then get a small piece of wire coming from the battery and touch it to the little connector on the starter it should push out and crank over if not its bad. mine has become stuck before so i took it out and this unstuck( for lack of a better word) it.

take the starter out, make sure the + stud doesnt have play in it, mine did, when i went to start it, it must of not got a good connection. It even tested out great. Just something to look into.

problem resolved, turned out i unpluged the cruise control switch on the clutch took a double look under the pedal and saw the on closest to the friewall, unplugged it and wala:hellyeah:
starts like a gem.

thanks guy for all your input!
