8.57@160 record set at wcf maryland 2013

Hi guys , it was a long weekend with lots of problems with my van , the car, the event it self that you guys probably know about already.
anyway even with all of that i was able to make all my passes. i was going for a better number but i was eliminated on the 1st run of eliminations with my best pass of 8.57@160 letting of after the 1000f mark due to the car start to braking up badly.
That pass was enough to the be fastest and quickest 3000gt in the world.
i will hit a local track soon before the winter set in.

The 3.5L 6g74 from the mitsu Pajero/Montero ?WTF
I was not aware of that, ill have to research more. If nelson would like to share, i would like to learn more about this setup. Awesome

Tons of info on 3000 forums. Easiest swap is from the fwd debonair because you can get a longblock that has all of the accessories you need. Montero SR block works but you will still need need some 6g74 specific brackets and lower intake from the debonair. It's basically plug and play with a jdm engine.

this is a 3.5L diamante short block, stock forged crankshaft , my aluminum rods and pistons built in house on my cnc machine, NBF race heads , ported,pinned and 0-ringed with custom stainless steel over size valves , custom NBF cams 315 exhaust and 284 intake , custom solid NBF lifters , high rev springs of corse bolted with ARP studs tie to cometic gaskets . twins GT4088s on NBF long headers set up. NBF 5 stage dry sump oil system set up. and 120 to 140 wet shot. there is more stuff but basically stander race parts.
The good stuff will go on the race tube frame 3000gt next year maybe. .
