I purchased 750cc injectors along with my td06 20g, but I've decided to go with an Evo16G instead. Should I downgrade to 650's. I have DSMLink so I would be able to tune the injectors pretty well.

You wouldnt have to downgrade, as long as ou tune it ( DSMlink) it should be okay, if not maybe find someone to swap with, I have a set of 650cc, and I am looking for 750cc, but I live in CO, and I cant sell. but you should be good, you could run a 20+psi E316G so you know that your fuel ( if supported) will be okay.

I would probably not want to run much more then 18 for daily driving, maybe 20psi at the track (rare). Would the 750's be ok with low PSI? I havent installed DSMLink so I'm not yet sure of how easily it is to save and change settings. I would like atleast 2 fuel settings for daily driving and then one when I want to have fun.

You will beable to max out the e316g with 650s.I would keep your 750s so when and if you upgrade again you have more room for tuning for a larger turbo.

Shoulda bought 1000's....

With DSMlink, you can go as big as you want without much difficulty. If you were sporting some sort of piggy back, I'd recommend going with the smallest you can get away with but with dsmlink, injector size (as long as its below 1200) is a moot point.

Yes with DSMLink, basically the bigger the better. That way you don't have to upgrade in the future. It can make basically any size injector run like stock. I have 750's on my evoIII and Im in the mid 60's % injector duty cycle.

So true, isn't it nice to have 60% IDC?

Yeah 60% is amazing, I am doing 95% now with my 450's with my 14B, no knock so far but still thats pushing them. It is recommended having a maximum of 80% IDC for optimal performance and safetly margin. So if your lower then that, that means you have a lot of room to play with tuning :).

the other day at the track I witnessed someone with a 14b and 450's log 98-99% all the way down the track. He ran a 12.49 btw, and that was with all the stock piping too, intercooler piping, intake pipe, stock smic, and he even had a raised fuel pressure. I forgot to ask what psi he was running, but I have a base fuel pressure of 46 on my 14b running at 21 psi and I see like 89% idc's on an 11.5ish:1 tune. don't I have so much room to play with? I can't wait for 1000's

anyone found a good deal on 1200's? I know fuel injector clinic has their uber over priced 1150's but what about anyone else?

Although it's true that you can go as large as you want with dsmlink, it's also true that the larger they're, the harder it is to keep them idle properly/smoothly. Leave yourslf some room but don't go overboard.

Well I've already desided on 8 -an fuel lines going to my 10 -an fuel rail, fuel filter, and aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, along with a supra pump in the tank, and an inline wailbro 255 hp, so some larger injectors would probably be a good idea to keep up with the trend of things. Im hoping for some really big numbers in the long run, so I'll be getting everything as good as it gets. If I could get a straigth answer on which resistor pack to use with 1600's to make them idle correctly, I would be going with them, but since nobody knows, Ill just have to keep researching until it comes time for me to actually buy new injectors.

btw oldman, I fixed my shift key I think... Actually, I doubt it, its probably only going to work for this one post then break on me again...ROFL

Take it to pm.

I have a set of PTE 780's with an Aeromotive AFPR and Evo III 16G in my DSM with DSMLink, and it loves them. Idle and load are perfect. I had to mess with the airflow sliders to get the low fuel trims at 0%, but other than that, it's perfect. Go with the 750's, you won't regret it. It's always nice to have the extra fuel just in case. I'd rather be rich than lean any day.

The ONLY downside I can see to any injector upgrade with DSMLink is that some users have reported hard starting in temperatures below 40 degrees Farenheit, but this seems to be more user error or DSMLink issue than anything else. I myself have this issue, but also had it with stock injectors.

Matt.
