I have a 1997 Dodge Avenger ES 2.5 v6. I warped the heads a while ago so I thought I would be "cool / fast" if I bore the block 0.020" shave the crankshaft 0.010". So that's what I did, there wasn't an increasingly hp or acceleration difference. I looked a putting a turbo on this engine, but after reading forums. It would be difficult and yet expensive. People were saying it's way easier or my best bet would be to swap it with a 2002 3.0 stratus engine and run nitro.
I know that there was a 4 cylinder avenger that came with the 420a. My question is there anyone out there that has completed this swap? If some please refer me to them or post some steps.
I put about $1200 into this 6g73, it only has about 5,000 miles on it. But, if this swap it possible and I can complete this than I would sell the 6g73 for relatively cheap.
Come one guys, let the post begin...

I mean if you want, but it won't be any faster. And with all that custom work It would be a lot better with a 4g. But still why not look for a twin turbo 3kgt
or twin turbo your car. Not sure if the avengers came with them on some models or not. But that's just me, good luck on your swap.
, you shouldn't though mpg isn't that big of a difference
