Does anyone know if a 6g73 crankshaft can be machined?

Too vague, of course you can machine it. You can have piece of raw steel machined into steel filings if you want. Please try again

Well there is a car that I am working on that has the 6g73 sohc engine in it and has spun the #2 cylinder rod bearing. I remember reading up here that the 6 bolt 4g63 crankshafts are nitride coated and machining them would weaken them. That being said I wasn't sure if the 6g73 crankshafts were the same way or not.

Ah, all 4g63 cranks are nitride coated from what I remember. There are places that will re nitride coat cranks, it's kinda pricey though. I'd suggest looking on the forums whatever car you took it out of. Sorry I can't be of any more help than that.
