I have completed my 94 swap with exception of EGR. Currently I have the 94 EGR valve on my 97, vacume lines hooked up accroding to the 97 diagram. The 94 EGR has a two wire plug on it that the 97 didn't have. I am wondering if it will still function this way? and/or could I put my 97 EGR on it and allow it to function considering I am wanting to keep it.

I apologize if this has been anwerd its just all my searches no body keeps it or goes into detail on this portion of the swap.

Yes, the only exception is the CAS is from a 91, and the TPS, IAC, and the ECU is the 97.

If its a 94 it's a 7 bolt not a 6 bolt. 6 bolts were only used until mid 92.

Yes however I am verry confused by this. The dealer shows a 6 bolt crank for the 94 this one has a 7 bolt, and per everyones listing they always call the engine upto 94 a 6 bolt. I don't know why but, its a 1G design block and head as all other 6 bolts I have seen. I am no pro DSM guy nor claim to be but we can call it 1G swap and then I get bashed oh "you mean a 6 bolt swap" or I can call it a 6 bolt swap and then "it's 94 it should be a 7 bolt crank". I will edit post to a 94 swap that way when someone does a search for info to do a 92 6 bolt swap they will not find this post to forsee any EGR possibilities.

No mean to sound like an a** but its kinda like saying my car cranks but don't run and telling me to check my horn. l

Wow, chill man. We are just trying to make sure you did not get screwed by someone saying they are selling a 6 bolt but it is really a 7. Seven bolts hit DSm's in '92. Period. Wanna be sure? Take off the tranny and count the bolts holding the flywheel on.
