I have a billet 6765 pte turbo but the 65 turbine wheel is all chopped up but in stead of a direct replacement I would like to kno what hotside housing and turbine wheel set up would give me the quickest spool, I am not worried about making power at the moment I just need to put the turbo on my daily cus I don't have nothing else at the moment. I currently have a .82 vband hotside. What will work and what are your reccomendations. Thanks!

Can you clarify "all chopped up" or better yet post some pictures. :thumb:

You need the turbo on your daily so you're willing to spend $200+ for a smaller turbine and another $250 for a different turbine housing in hopes to make the turbo spool quicker? Logic would tell you to take that money and buy a smaller turbo instead of over-restricting the exhaust side of the turbo you have.

Grimgst:
I had the pte 6765 in a standard inlet flange/4 bolt outlet .82 ar t3 a while back. I ran a 9.8 at 153.6 with it. I have since upgraded just the turbine to the newer 66mm (making it a 6766). It spools faster by a few hundred rpm, has better response, and makes more power from what I can tell. I still am using a .82 a/r t3 turbine housing, but went to a 3.5inch exhaust at the same time. I would say the 66mm turbine would help you a bit. Hope this advice helps you!

Thanks,
Erik

I was told to do the same! I can send it to precision to get done. Some ppl don't understand idk bout the performance at this point I have a few turbo parts I can play with. But my ultimatum is to send it back to pte. The turbine wheel is not reusable but the fins that would catch the exhaust air seem to be pretty much "folded in" but seem fine where the vband is. If that makes sence.

I don't care much to over restrict the turbo then have to change all my piping again just to run a 16g or Sumthing

I understand what you are saying. send that baby in, get it fixed and put it on the car I think you will be surprised at how the turbo perform even with the .62 housing. Just keep us posted;)
