this is my current up grade from my 50trim for reason my 50trim feels faster than the 6262 bolton jb. can some 6262 bolt on people chim in on this i have all supporting mods. it feels weak below 25 psi.

have you tuned your car for the larger turbo and the 6262 is gonna be lagier than the 50 trim

i tuned it wit link.but when dose this turbo really start to accelerate is it over 20 psi. i r an 34 psi on the 50 trim it pulled real hard at 3400 rpm to7000rpm. 6262 pulls slow at low boost.i guess what i'am trying to ask 20 psi on a 50trims seems alot stronger than the 6262 bolton at 20psi when dose the 6262 come alive. at what psi

a 6262 is meant for a 600-700hp application so with large injectors a built bottom end, head, and a supporting turbo upgrades it would be fine. But if your goal is like 500hp then it's gonna be laggy as balls

i do have a build bottom end 9:01 manely bottom end .jackson build head .hks 272 cams. 1000cc injectors

t3 or vband i was going to up after awhile i heard dsm flange is restrictive but that but and if i do up grade 63 or 82 ar.

what is the difference in fp bolton designs vs the other and how they pulling sick times slips vs the other such as my 6262 bolton

(redpit) Please read the rules before your next post (specifically rule # 5). Thank you.

Forced Performance's bolt on turbine housings are a lot larger (internal volume wise) then other company's bolt on turbine housings. The turbine housing isn't the only reason there turbo's produce the results, however.

The two problems I see here are:

- If you thought you could get away with making power by running a 70 lb/min turbo in PTE's DSM bolt-on housing, you bought the wrong turbo. That housing is known to choke turbos with various turbine sizes to well below what their compressor is rated when using other turbine housings.

- If you bought this turbo thinking you're going to get away with making power using this turbo at below 25psi, you bought the wrong turbo. Trouble is if you crank the boost up to a level where the compressor comes alive, the turbine backpressure from the crappy bolt-on housing will melt the inducer tips off the turbine wheel.

That in mind, you have two possible solutions....switch to a different manifold / turbine housing and turn up the boost, or sell it and buy something smaller which generates airflow at a boost level you're looking to run.

Yes, I agree the 6262 is much too big of turbo to be run in a stock TDO5 housing. You need to upgrade to a t3 or t4 housing to get the actual power of the turbo. A t3/t4 6262 in my opinion is one of the best street/strip turbos. Not too laggy and has amazing power at 20+ psi.

ok guys iam upgrading from from the mitsu housing should i go t3 63 ar. or t3 82 ar. i still want to have good spool up on the street.for those testy v8 and honda boys do have all suporting mods except injectors i can't get my 1600cc white tops to idle. i guess i need ez tune box. but in the mean i will rock my 850cc.
