6 Bolt w/ 7 Bolt automatic

Been making a build sheet all night for my girlfriend's Spyder that we bought(Traded actually) today (7 bolt threw a rod) and just now I've came across a few threads that are saying an adapter kit is NEEDED for this swap where others are saying its not. I plan on throwing some bolt ons at the car but shes not into racing or anything of the nature so its not like its going to be a race car. What are my options, Do I need the adapter kit? Would I be better off getting a 1g Trans? Im ballin on a budget so the most wallet friendly option would be the best here without sacrificing reliability. Sorry for being a noob and i've googled this with different answers and opinions!

Im thinking the best route for the budget right now as much as I hate doing work twice is going to be getting a 7 bolt short block

I have a 95 talon awd 6 bolt motor with the 95 7 bolt auto trans that was originally in the car and used the kiggly bracket above and it
Bolted right up

Thats the plan now, having a 6 bolt is going to double my price of the swap and I have a few other things with the car that needs taken care of first, I know automatics can crank walk too and that people make a HUGE deal out of the small amount of 7 bolts that have actually crank walked but Im going to try and find one out of an automatic to lower my chances of it happening here.

Got a project car from someone who did the 6 bolt swap (was actually in the middle of it). What symptoms would you see if they didn't use this kit?

Auto 7 bolts are less prone to CW because of the constant pressure the cranks recieves from the torque converter, unlike a clutch that removes and reapplies pressure to the crank ALL the time.

Not saying they don't walk but they are way less likely to because of the auto tranny.

I am going to be crossing this bridge sometime soon as well. I just bought a 2g Auto with no engine and i already have a couple 6 bolts laying around. I am going to buy the kiggly kit unless i find a hell of a deal on a 7 bolt long block.
