I have researched this a lot, and I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I have a 1997 Eclipse GST with a 6 bolt swap, and it has a 1995 ECU with DSM link. I got the car with the swap but it wasn't finished, I just finished putting it together. I had it running for 3 days, then out of nowhere it stops cranking. It will turn over but will not start. As suggested I checked the spark plugs and plug wires 2 and 3 weren't getting spark, then my mechanic suggested that I check the coil pack so I got one from a friend of mine... put it on and still no spark to 2 and 3! I checked the spark plug wires, they are fine. Ive been doing research and asking around but I cant seem to come up with a solution... What could it be?

Any advise would be helpful! :)

Good luck I had the same problem with mine had a 6 bolt swap with a 95-96 ecu and dsm link, no spark on 2-3 could never get it figured out so put another 7bolt in, and then i talked to a guy who said something about one of the plugs on the ecu, all the pins in that specific plug need to be rotated counter-clock-wise, but i do not remeber which plug it was that he said,

anyway look into that as well as you can also try ordering the magnus motosports direct connect harness. for the 1g cas to a 2g i have read on here a lot of guys got that and had no problem!

good luck:thumb:

So i talked to someone around here that knew some stuff about 6 bolt swaps and i had him look at it...we tested the coil pack and its getting 11.3 to each side of the coil pack....so he is saying that the coil pack must be bad...this is my 2nd coil pack...of course this one was used and from a friend....we checked the ignition plug and its getting the power it needs....so does this sound like just the coil pack to ya'll?

Ah ok, cool good to know. I order a coil on plug setup...online. It should be here in about two days. So i'll probably just wait for that to come in. Thanks everyone for all of your advice!
