6 bolt swap Q

I have searched and searched. I saw the parts list on magnus site, but it doesn't say if i can use the 2g thermostat and water pipe. Anyone have any insite to this? I'm building a 6bolt motor with a manley head setup and eagle 2.3 stroker kit.

Are you using a 1g or 2g head? If you're using a 2g head, then you can stick with a 2g t-stat and water pipe. A 1g head you use a 1g t-stat and water pipe.

When I did my 6bolt swap, I used the 2g head, I also used the thermostat housing and water pipe from my 2g. So yes you can use it, but you have to get creative with the piping for the water supplie to the turbo. 7bolts have a nipple tapped into the block, 6bolts dont, they use the water pipe to feed it, but the return stays the same. I switched to an external oil cooler, so I used the fitting that feeds that little narrow hard line. you will also have to plug the other feed for the oil cooler if you do the same.
