I have a 98 eclipse with a 6 bolt from a 92 in it. After running the codes I got back a few things...
P1400 (manifold differential pressure)
P0450 (pressure sensor malfunction)
P1105 (fuel pressure solenoid)
P0120 (pedal position sensor)
P0300 (random multiple misfire)

wow, sounds like fun right...

Anyway, the problem I'm having while driving, is once the car has almost all the way warmed up, I'll be cruising along at a constant speed and all of a sudden my car starts sputtering loudly, and I lose a lot of power. To get it back to normal again all I have to do is put it in neutral and coast until it drops to idle, then it's ready to run normal again. This can happen once in a 15 minute drive or 30 times in that same drive...

I'm guessing it has to do with the multiple random misfire code but would a potentiometer fix the running issue or just stop the CEL from coming on with that code?

Also want to point out that this didn't happen until many miles after the swap...

I'm having the same problem, but I didn't notice it doing it until I reset my DSMLink on accident (which I don't have a cable or adapter for :( Mine only does it above 55 mph, and it drops a cylinder completely until I restart the car or drop rpm's. So it may be the cam angle sensor needing to be reversed, or crank angle sensor (I forget which one).

Ok lets get a few things out of the way first. Thats a ton of codes for a 6 bolt swap. How is your MDP sensor mounted? It was the sensor that bolted to the top middle of the intake manifold. You need to have it hooked up. Have you adjusted your throttle position sensor correctly? If both of these are messed up, youre gonna have tons of problems with the car. And as always, do a boost leak test and set your timing to 5* btdc

My car started doing it after messing around with my SAFC. I drove on the freeway right after messing with it and it was the first time that it happened. I disconnected the battery, disconnected the SAFC and it was still happening. I have not hooked the SAFC since that day because I want to figure out what the problem is and it is still happening everytime i drive on the freeway. Any suggestions?

Yes, The mdp is only for the egr but if it is not hooked up then it will throw a code. Same for the fuel pressure solenoid.

Did you swap tps sensors? You should be running the 2g tps.

Update*

I purchased EvoScan and the vagcom cable and I have logged it after finding a large boost leak and fixing it. I no longer have the driveability problem, but I notice some hesitation often... I also ran the codes and now am down to three...

P1400 (manifold differential pressure)
P0450 (pressure sensor malfunction)
P1105 (fuel pressure solenoid)

It almost feels sometimes as though I have enough fuel pressure, then for an instant I don't, then the Ecu corrects it and I do again, then as soon as I do, I don't again and back and forth... I also am wanting to upgrade the fuel pump soon, I was wondering also if anyone had any suggestions to either fix these codes or any good fuel pumps that I should look at without spending a lot of money...

Also want to address my first code
P1400 - manifold differential pressure, from what I understand is common on swaps because it is a sensor that doesnt exist on the 1G, but does on the 2G, therefore my Ecu wants to see it, but wont... Also the only reason for this sensor is to monitor the EGR to make sure it is working properly, which I have blocked off, and therefore I need not worry about this code... I was also wondering though, if this is going to throw my CEL, is there any way to bypass this so that I don't constantly have my CEL lit up?

Here ya go:

EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts - JM 2G MAP Sensor Adapter: Mitsubishi Eclipse 95-99

Buy that and tee it into any vaccum source from the intake mani, all set.

Or you can do what I did and buy a huge diameter (~7/8 inch) hose and clamp it to the sensor and tee THAT into the brake booster hose that is behind the mani that leads into the mani. :hellyeah:
