ok guys so this is the final lap on my 6 bolt swap. Everything has been smooth untill today that while crancking the car the mechanic head a bit of a grindeing noise and when he lifted the car he noticed that the tranny had separated a bit from the block. Looks to me like the clutch wasnt alligned propperly and the teeth on the fly wheel and the strarter were grindeing. were taking the tranny down again tomorrow and making sure everything is in right. any other sugestions???

How did the transmission start to seperate from the block? Did you not have the two bolted together completely? If the transmission and the block dont have a solid connection it will allow everything to move and twist when you try to start the car and can cause the starter and flywheel to not be properly aligned which will result in noises.

Theres defanately a difference in the flywheels but i have also has a problem like this before and it ended up being a broken clutch disk... another thing is the clutch fork could not be working properly you can check that by having someone push the clutch in and having a second person make sure the slave cylinder is moving properly... hope everything works out im having a few of my own 6 bolt swap issues...

thanks for the help guys Im taking the tranny down today and trying to re install everything again and making sure its done right this time
