ok so i got my 6 bolt motor taken all part. SO this is the the question i have i want to get bigger pistons no matter what and i will have my block machined. Can i get bigger pistons say like 9to 1 compression pistons and use MY STOCK 1G RODS or would i have to get bigger rods too. Also what would I all need to bilt my bottom end of the motor to be a very good motor.

Also i plane on getting a good clutch like act 2600 or something along those lines. Should i get a lighten flywheel or use my stock one because i heard that it is better to use a stock flywheel because you would not rap out as fast. What do you guys run stock flywheel or after market ones. Thank you so much

I use a stock flywheel that I had lightened.

I think 1g rods with 2g pistons gives 8.5:1, which is higher that stock for 1g. If I'm wrong on my compression #, someone will correct.

I understand most people use 2g Pistons but can I go even bigger like 9to1 one useing my stock 1g rods has it been done before or should i just get a complete set rods and pistons.

So what you are saying is to GET A LIGHTEN flywheel or should i just go with stock?

You don't want to keep upping the compression with forced induction cars. It gets dangerous the higher you go.

Unless you are building a racecar, 8.5:1 should be fine (imo). Will 9.0:1 make it too dangerous, probably not, but I see no need to go higher.

Flywheel is your preference. There are pros and cons to factory lightened, aftermarket lightened, or plain stock. Do some research on the different brands and search the forums to see what people have them.
