Well i put a complete 6-bolt in my 2 g and i did the t-belt and the car ran for like 2 minuets then right when i tried to turn it off the exhaust cam jumped like 5 teeth and broke both valve's in #1 cylinder. now i had the t-belt real tight and the tensioner didn't fail but i am not sure why it jumped and all i can think of is that it had to be to tight and that the tensioner pulled the exhaust cam down maybe. Well i am getting the head back from the shop soon and i just don't want this to happen again so i am wondering what anybody thinks about this i did like 2 t-belt on 1g's that week and there still boostin great, so i was ready for doing mine well just let me know what you guys think thanks Mike

I am running a 2g timing belt on my 6 bolt with no problems at all.

you did not get the tensioner pulley tight enough.. you should get that tight enough that the pin on the tensioner can be slid in and out with no problem.

I made a makeshift tightner using 2 allen wrenches taped together if the shape of a F just
use the 2 tips of the toll to put into the 2 holes in the tensioner pulley.. and torque it over as hard as you can while tightening the bolt with your other hand & ratchet.
