6 bolt + 7b awd tranny issue

Today i thought i was going to finish up my 6b swap into my 93 tsi awd. I ran into an issue. i am using an ACT 2600 LBS clutch with 7B AWD transmission. when i press the clutch, the slave cyl pushes my throwout bearing fork, but does not disengage my clutch. Its seems as if the 7b throw out bearing isnt moving in far enough to move the pressure plate. or could my pressure plate be faulty? clutch is used btw. I am at a loss right now and very discouraged, any help or ideas?

Have you bled and adjusted the clutch properly? A used ACT usually require a shim, did you shim your pivot ball? Are the fork and ball new? how many miles on them? Under full clutch depression, where does the fork sit in the viewing window?

didnt realize it might need a shim, under full depression it can still go back maybe a 1/4" or so. which is leading me to believe that the pressure plate might have an issue, i used a pry bar to try and move the fork a bit more, but it wouldnt budge.

Turned out to be the ACT pressure plate.
