Well I did some research and I came across this question. Are the head designs the same on the 6/7 bolt blocks. Are the blocks themselves the same or is it just the flywheel, The reason why I am asking is if I was to take a 6 bolt block and build it up from the ground could I run all 7 bolt internals.

OK so I can't interchange the internals, What about the Head design? Reason being is that I can get a 6 bolt shortblock extremely cheap but I build up my engines starting from the crank. What would I be looking at for sensors and all that if I have a 2g and I would like to swap this 6 bolt into it.

Theres alot of posts on here about 6 bolt swaps into a 2g. If you read up there pretty descriptive into it. Everything pretty muchs bolts up except you need to splice for the 1g cam angle sensor and also run a map. Check it out, im in the process of building up my 6bolt and in the spring will be doing a sweeeeet 6bolt swap and awd conversion to my gst.:thumb:

Ok so you are pretty much telling me I will be fine for doing a swap if I just build the 6 bolt all the way up and then just pretty much swap them. The only thing I would have to really worry about would be the MAP. Alright so it sounds like I will bolt up the 6 bolt block and just swap them, done deal cool.

~Thanks.
