5V power source?

Anyone know if there is a wire in the car thats running 5volts b/c im install this thing and it needs 5v and i was wondering if there is a wire in the car that is running 5v.

Thanks but i should have been more to the point i need the 5v to be in the inside of the car b/c its like a temp reader..

I'm pretty sure the reference wire runs from the ecu to the tps. Splice in there somewhere. And there are other things that use a 5v reference as well but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

A Chilton's manual would be very handy at this point, since they have wiring diagrams of your vehicle. A multimeter to confirm that it's a 5v source would help too.

Yes to, does anyone know, and no to, do any of the fuses in the drivers side foot area have a 5 volt source. All the fuses are for battery voltage sources.

If you need up to an amp of +5v a 7805 and a couple of caps is the easiest way to get it.

Many cell phone / computer adapters provide 5v. It's quite common since USB ports provide 5v and many phones and divices charge from a USB connection.
