gauge lighting power source

ok well my bud got a 1g talon and the boost gauge light was ghetto rigged off a neon wire. so we ripped out the neons and i was wondering if someone has a pic or something of where i can splice the light wire into from the boost gauge so that it lights up with u turn the headlights on. i did it for my buds evo .... so like the backlight of the guage comes on when u turn ur headlights on. thanks... or is there a spot on the ecu i splice into or a wire behind steering wheel area? thanks

I like using the power wire for the light on the ciggerette lighter. Only comes on when headlights are on.

why do you want to splice it in to the headlight wire?

ahh .. duhh yea good idea.. thanks which color wire in the back is the power wire... we took the dash out to repaint but i forgot the colors so i was jw again thanks.
