5spd Tranny really stiff

is the shifter & tranny supposed to be this stiff? takes some effort to find 1st and Reverse. the guy selling it says that the clutch has been changed recently and he's got receipt.

could it be a bad tranny?

'96 with 120k miles.

i once had to change out my trans shifter cable mount cause it got bent re installing the tranny. and it was an ASS to get it in gear. That could be a possibility.
