57 Trim .84 a/r on dsm?

I was just wondering why you want to go with the 57 trim? Its sorta an odd ball turbo, there are other turbo's both smaller & larger that seem to be better suited to our application. There doesn't seem to be alot of guys running these turbo's on our cars & probably even less with a .84 AR housing. The 57 trim isn't a huge compressor wheel & the .84 housing (I would imagine your talking T3?) is a good size, I haven't run this setup, so I could be way off but this doesn't seem like a good combo. I think the most noticeable differance you will see with the .84 housing would just be lag & believe the .63 AR housing would be a better match if you are set on the 57 trim.

I have a gt35r with a .84 turbine housing. Don't see full spool till 4200, but hold on. It is a bit laggy, but the top end makes up for it. I am seriously contemplating a 50-75 shot of nitrous for WOT off boost situations like at the strip.

Is there ever a WOT off boost situation? 4200 is under where the revs drop to. Or are you talking about 1st gear?

I have a 57 trim, 0.63a/r, and honestly, I wish I had a bigger turbo. If you look at the compressor maps, the 50 trim map looks better than the 57 trim map. It does put out decent power, but like I said, a 50 trim can match the power level...And a 60 trim will outflow it by a decent margin.

Regarding 0.82 a/r - IMHO there's absolutely no point in running a 0.82a/r with anything smaller than a 60-1.
