heres the deal all motor or all turbo 2.0 420a is gonna be hard pressed to be streetable...

now if u want witha 2.4 forged bottom end, fully coated cermaic and moly and used all arp hardware full ported head custom huge lift cams and nice turbo overlap 500 is not that hard...

with 7:1 compression turbodave on neons.org hit 350hp with no head work no blancing just a t3 on it at 16# of boost

add head work lots of porting bigger valves much bigger turbo standalone and u got 500hp easy....

my goal as stated above is shooting about 650whp witha stand alone and a t40e ball bearing turbo maybe a little bit of happy gas too before i build the 2.6...

With 500hp on a fwd, you're probably going to lose traction in 4th gear. I definitely think it can be done but you're probably going to research a sh1tload to make sure you know how to tune it and keep it running right. I hope you have a daily driver for when your 500hp beast breaks down

Arent there alot of neons in or near the 500hp mark? and Bill Hahns RS is at 500hp, right? Its a daily driver from what the site says.

there are quite a few banging on the door of 500 or at it

yes u might still spin in 4th gear with stock tires (i know u will)

with the setup i plan i should get spin in the first 2 gears after that i should stick pretty good...
