50 Trim w/ Stock Injectors

In two weeks ima order a PTE5031e & 38mm Tial WG.
My friend is going to give me his 650cc injectors for free but I have to wait till he gets money for DSMlink & 850cc (which is going to be in May).
Im pretty sure no one can pass up some free injectors so my question is, how much boost can I run safely ona 50trim with 450cc?
This way I can order the right spring for the wg and just use a mbc later to turn it up.

PS. I have Walbro 255, AFPR, SS Fuel Feed/Fuel Return
 
DON'T DO IT!!! A 50 trim can max out 750's on a lot of set ups. How do you think 450's are going to do.
 
i have a logger and an safc. I can use the money ill save to buy a wideband for a more fine tune.

I would just set aside the 50trim and wait for the 650cc but cmon now... its going to be staring me in the face:D

reason im taking the 650cc is
1. i have an safc
2. i dont plan on running anything higher that 18-20lbs (fwd)
 
I agree with 1992awdlaser. I was seeing 124% IDC on a small 16g with my stock injectors with only 8 psi (wastegate fed right from boost source).

I would highly suggest that you don't get the turbo and instead put it towards DSMlink and a wideband setup. Then, the money you planned on spending on DSMlink in May can be put towards the turbo setup. Just be smart and do your mods in order of importance and also relative to what you currently have.

And if you're friend wants to give you free 650's, take 'em and sell them and put the money back into the car. :thumb:

Trust me i know the feeling, in the mean time you can run around the house making 50 trim boost noises and bov sounds, while running around the house to pass the time. Or take the frustration out in bed with your girl.

But its your motor, i would not even run 5 psi on it hell i would not bother putting it in. Youll pop the hood people say oh 50 trim and you say 5 psi people with say wtf why bother. 450 are not made for that air flow.
 
Ive seen plenty of 50trim setups with 650cc and Safc tuned. Of course this isnt my final setup, i do plan on getting DSMlink but that wont happen for a bit.

Ive got supporting mods and yes 650cc would be maxed out IF.. i plan on running high boost but im not
 
i got a 50 trim on a 2.3 stroker motor. and my 650s r perfectly fine to get out as much power as you would want. of course, dsmlink is the way to go but u can get away with safc since u dont have many mods anyways. but that motor will pop soon enough with that 50 trim on it. easy with the lead foot
 
Yeah 3 mins will turn into "30 min long drive" casue i had to hit boost.

Yes it would if i havent researched. A friend of mine has been hitting 26lbs+ on his 2g gsx with 7bolt stock internals/e85/dsmlink and broke into the 11s for over a year now..

Of course thats not my plan... i do plan on re-enforcing my engine and taking my time. Im not shooting for 11s or 450+hp... just a good once ina while killler... yes yes i know.. a 50trim is an over kill but i gotta love the lag for DD and the power it can put out with low boost compared to other turbos out there
 
Get a dat logger and watch your injector duty cycles. That is the only way to actually know what you can run.

Did you read the two posts above yours? What are you going to do when you can't borrow them anymore.

Yes they will be good enough to put the turbo on the car not to actually use it. A 50 trim can max out 850cc injectors your not going to be able to do anything with 560's. Like I said in the post above yours, get a logger and watch the idc. That is the only way to know how much they can handle.
 
just becauas you CAN max out a turbo doesn't mean you will. Obviously the 50 trim is going to be cabable of yoru 450hp goals but the thing to remember is to tune it to what the fuel and and knock can handle and you'll be fine
 
Do yourself a favor and listen to what people are saying on here. Don't get ahead of yourself and jump on deals if you can't use them, or use them safely. Wait to get injectors that you can keep and use safely. Don't blow your engine if you don't have to.
 
my goals really arent that high...18-20psi thats about it (trust me, im not going past that unless im at the track, which is maybe once a month at the most)

I can borrow them for however long i need to (hes in no hurry)

But yea i see what you guys are saying, i guess im just gunna suck it up and buy some 650cc
